Epic Hospital Billing – Charge Description Master (CDM) Management

Ms. Vallozzi is a manager with McKinnis Consulting Services. In her role as a manager, she is responsible for client project management, project quality and delivery, internal methodology/tool development, and is a recognized Epic Systems expert. She has experience in operational and process improvement, revenue integrity redesign, revenue risk mitigation, and developing revenue cycle system methodologies.

Ms. Vallozzi has experience working with institutions ranging from large academic and regional medical centers to private physician practices. Her focus areas include professional and hospital charge capture, revenue reconciliation, and revenue integrity. Ms. Vallozzi also has experience around optimizing efficiencies and improving workflows around administrative and clinical operations.

Ms. Vallozzi’s sample MCS experience:

  • Led Epic pre-live risk mitigation engagements with a strong emphasis on operational integration and engagement, including targeted implementation, testing, and go-live management strategies to ensure minimal disruption of financial metrics during the conversion period
  • Provided recommendations on the restructuring of Epic system training, and support processes to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and maximize system return on investment
  • Spearheaded operational and Epic integration efforts by implementing task forces and increasing accountability for revenue cycle and system excellence
  • Oversaw the strategic design of a revenue integrity department including the design and implementation of accountability structures, process re-design, system optimization, and the introduction of enhanced revenue captures strategies

Prior to her work at McKinnis, Ms. Vallozzi was a senior manager in clinical operations at a multihospital health system in northern Illinois.
