Assessment Associate


GENERAL DESCRIPTION                                                                                                     

The Assessment Associate will be primarily responsible for the quality delivery of both the operational and technical components of the opportunity assessments.  This resource will act as a lead within the Business Development team owning/co-owning the following activities: assessment and diagnostic scheduling, client interviews, client communication, internal and external deliverable development, client presentations, and market research and client information gathering. This role is expected to track all internal and external activity within Mavenlink (project management solution) for review by Business Development management.


With direction/guidance:

  • Facilitate the client data requests
  • Facilitate the system access process to ensure timely and accurate
  • Work directly with clients to discuss current state and provide plans for optimization
  • Support other team members during opportunity assessment process including Epic diagnostics
  • Perform data capture/migration activities during opportunity assessments
  • Perform data integrity validation activities during opportunity assessments
  • Perform advanced data analytics using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access related to client benchmarking and strategic opportunity identification
  • Perform operational reporting to support assessment findings
  • Own the interview process during client assessments
  • Support the creation of weekly client dashboards
  • Create high quality client deliverables that highlight technical fixes, operational improvements, and detailed action plans
  • Own assembly of presentation deliverables
  • Provide logistical support for assessment presentations
  • Provide subject matter expertise during assessment presentations
  • Support internal practice development and methodology
  • Develop expertise surrounding principal healthcare systems (Epic, Meditech, etc)
  • Continuously look for ways to better our operational and technical assessment deliverables
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of MCS marketing and brand specific materials


  • Ability to be proactive, self-directing and take initiative
  • Detailed oriented and strong technical or operational background
  • Expertise in the use core PC based Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Proficiency in effective graphic communication

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Two – Five (2–5) years in Revenue Cycle consulting, Healthcare industry, or HIS implementation and support
  • At least one (1) year of project management experience
  • Certification in at least one Epic application (can be obtained after hire)
